Updated Master Golfer Standings

Yesterday, Ulverston Golf Club held their annual 36 hole open scratch event, the 4th counting event in our Master Golfer Series.

The conditions were incredibly testing with strong winds that stayed around all day with some showers thrown in to cool down the competitors.

Workington's Jack Hunter came out on top with outstanding rounds of 71 & 68 for a 3 under par 139 total. Rob Spence (Furness) shot a fantastic 67 in the morning round but couldn't keep it going in the afternoon and ultimately finished runner up on 144. Will Bowe (Workington) used all of his experience for 2 steady rounds of 74 & 72 for 146 and 3rd place.

Jack's win meant he moved to the top of the Master Golfer standings with 4 of 10 events completed.

Seascale's Brad Quayle continued his fine season with rounds of 78 & 73 which not only earned him 4th spot overall, but also best junior as he increased his lead in the Junior Master Golfer standings.

Event 5 in the series sees us visit Kirkby Lonsdale GC on Sunday 14th June before the County Strokeplay Championship the following weekend at Appleby GC.
